This is an old Burma Ruby. Originally sourced an antique victorian ring. Later it was unmounted to be sold as loose gemstone so that it could be used as a ring or beautiful pendant. 

RING IS ONLY HEATED GRS TYPE H(a), which is similar to Emerald type Insignificant.
